Professional Development Workshops

With continuing budget crunches and environmental concerns as well as increasing pressures to cover more content in less time, more and more science teachers are questioning the value of traditional wet labs in K-12 schools.

Digital Frog International, Inc. is pleased to offer school districts a free workshop on dissection issues.

In this 3 hour workshop, participants will

• discuss the attributes of a good learning tool
• explore The Digital Frog 2.5, voted best dissection alternative by eSchool News readers
• apply "value metrics" to digital, wet labs & both
• analyze cost savings of eliminating wet labs
• have an opportunity to earn free software

Eligibility for the free workshop

School Districts must:

• provide a facility with an overhead projector and a computer lab with at least 20 computers,
• ensure a minimum attendance of 20 science teachers and at least one district-level science coordinator,
• agree to pay a $750 workshop fee if less than 20 participants attend the session.

Eligibility for a free building site license

The Animal Welfare Institute and Digital Frog International are offering an unlimited Digital Frog 2.5 Building Site License and a single-user copy of ScienceMatrix:Cell Structure and Function to the first 25 schools that committ to eliminate dissection.
