Installation instructions for The Digital Field Trip to The Rainforest can be found in the booklet that accompanies your copy of the CD-ROM.
Or download this PDF file (readable with Adobe Acrobat Reader), for full installation instructions and troubleshooting.

The Digital Field Trip to The Rainforest will work best on the Mac under the following conditions:
- 8 Megs of available RAM or more
- Virtual Memory off
- File sharing off
- All extensions other than QuickTime off

I tried launching The Rainforest and got the message "QuickTimeLib could not be found."

Install the latest version of Quicktime from the CD, and remove all older versions from your system folder.
When I try to run The Rainforest, I get the message "SoundLib could not be found."

Your Macintosh does not have enough memory to load the sound libraries. Turn off all unused extensions, click on The Rainforest icon and change the application size to 900k less than the amount of free memory on your computer (usually about 5400k).
The program runs fine, but the text isn't formatting properly.

The fonts Helvetica or Times may be corrupted or not installed on your computer. Both are required for the proper running of The Digital Field Trip to The Rainforest. To fix the problem, simply re-install the fonts from your original system disk.
